It's not everyday you wake up---make your first cup on coffee and glance out the back door to a beautiful sunrise that makes it to your online businesses new logo!
When I moved to Gardner, Kansas nine months ago--Jim, my neighbor commented on how pretty the sunrises were to our east--as there was just a hedgerow of trees and a farmers field.
I however--was more inclined to go with the sunsets to the west--as I hadn't experienced too many early morning sunrises (the benefits of retirement?).
This pic was taken in August, 2013 in Gardner, Kansas looking west--and submitted to one of our local weathercast personalities requesting we send them in.
Earlier today--in the KC Star newspaper online--Kansas was said to have some of the best sunsets--particularly near the Flint Hills.
Canada can have the aurora borealis--i'll tale the Kansas sunrise/sunsets any day!
Below is an example of how i've incorporated the "logo" sunset into Wood Art:
Wood art is really big right now and even though it can get pretty expensive--it definitely makes a great conversation piece and "eye-catching".
And isn't that what we want in most of the things we buy? No bland, boring here--we want to buy what others don't have or haven't thought of, etc.
After editing and saturating just a tad--I listed this on my Etsy site as Burning Sunrise and proceeded to make my logo from it.
For me--it's all about images, color and how they make you feel! That image-transfer-translation theme is really what good art does to all of us.
It creates those feelings of a good time, good place, good moment that we want to continue with us.
My goal is to offer photo's, photo services and products that are inspiring, unique, creative and fun for all to enjoy!
How important is this? Think about how many co-workers have a picture of their loved ones final moments on their screensavers or desktops at work.
Memories are what we are left with--whether they are a loved one, a pet, a shoe, an ocean--or yes--even a sunrise.
Having lost both of my parents for over a decade--it's something that I want to help others share with their families to keep those images of enjoyable times etched in their memories--or coffee mugs for a lifetime!
